Kristin Fisher joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. In that role she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise to space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry as well as covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. While there, she also covered two impeachment proceedings for President Trump and the presdiential 2020 campaign and two attempts by the administration to stop the spread of coronavirus. Additionally, she was on numerous trips with president and vice president as well as a secret visit to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Before being hired by the channel in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her expertise behind the camera in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in creating documentaries for corporate clients, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. Her current residence is Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
